Just a disclaimer: this is some emotional vomit, so brace yourselves or just go away if you have no time for this shit, but EVERY SINGLE TIME I talk to my mother I feel like crying. Every time I talk to my friends' mothers I also feel like crying. I just don't know why my mother can't act like any other mother and be loving and caring and nurturing. You're probably thinking this is just me, and I have a biased view because the grass is always greener on the other side, this is just a phase, and whatnot. But no, I've been feeling this for years. Like, at least 6 years now. It's always the little things. Like, every time she comes into my room, she'll look at my computer and say "Why are you not studying? I'm getting worried about you." Then she'll just leave. Or she'll say "Don't eat too much you'll become fat." Or, more recently, as I'm losing quite a bit of weight, "Don't eat too much it's bad for your pimples." So you may think that oh she's worrying about me and looking out for my well-being! No it's not. Let me clarify. To her, it seems as if I'm competition. For what, I don't know. But every time she has a conversation with me, she has to win. For example. When I object to something she says, she'll start acting all childish and actually repeat what I say! Like when I say, "Can you stop objecting to everything I do?" She'll reply in a fake kiddy voice exactly what I said. Then when I retort, she'll say the same thing again. Like she has to have the last say in any conversation, even if it's about nothing. I don't even know. Can you imagine YOUR mother doing such things? Behaving so childishly? Not only that, when it's clearly her responsibility to do things, like take care of her mother (my grandma), she'll always say "Oh you look after her she won't listen to me she'll only listen to you because you're her granddaughter." And on the few times I've actually reached my limit and say that it's her responsibility, she'll just say "Oh I'm a lousy daughter don't follow my example, follow your father's example." Usually he's the one who takes care of her because my mum's "too busy" (she's a shameless workaholic), and she is a self-proclaimed "lousy daughter". You're definitely lousier than lousy if you don't even bother to TRY before delegating everything! Oh and by the way if you think this "competition" thing is an idea I completely made up, it's not. I actually thought about it and it sounded true, so this one time I got so tired of her rubbish I actually started sob-yelling at her (because I get agitated very easily in the context of fairness, I am a very emotional person, and I was really extremely angry at that time). I told her that she was only thinking of herself all the time and not bothering about her children like we're just an afterthought and a burden she has to consider. And she said that "yeah I'm spending money on myself because I earned the money through my own hard work. Did you work for anything? No, so you shouldn't expect anything from me or your father." (by the way, my father pays for everything for my brother and I, even school and extra tuition fees and our groceries and necessities like toiletries and even clothes; the only thing my mother spends on is herself: her clothes, massages, facial, whatever) Then she LITERALLY said, "You see, so I win." She's the opposite of me. She can argue and speak loudly while still looking completely calm. My face by now is totally destroyed by my emotions. So I lost it completely. "Why do you have to treat everything like a competition? Is winning more important than your children's well-being?!" "Yes, of course, because I always have to have the last say in anything." . . . what. i didn't even know what to say anymore. I felt like hitting her, because I have to admit I'm not good at arguments so I think hitting someone is the quickest way to get my emotions across, though I know it's the most counter-productive to my purposes of getting my actual feelings across. Also my mother is unbelievably smart, so she knows how to argue and what to say that will hurt most, and how to not be emotionally affected because she's so analytical. But then I remembered something I'd wanted to say for years but never had the balls to: "I remember something you said to us (me and my brother) years ago that I will never ever forget: you told us that your biggest regret in life was to have children! And through your actions I've believed that until now" She had nothing to say. I'd caught her up there. In the end my father just decided to bring me out for a walk and talk things through, without her, to ease the tension. He knows that I haven't been on good relations with my mother for the longest time (read: years). Oh by the way, we were on holiday at the time, so it was a warm winter, so the air was crisp and fresh and relaxing, but I was still over the edge. I usually hate to draw attention to myself, but at that time I really didn't care. I literally sobbed my lungs out while spilling all my feelings to my father (I was trying hard not to because they affected my speech, but it didn't work I was so emotional) as we walked along the still-quiet morning streets. I explained everything (I would elaborate, but I'll be brief here): how she doesn't treat us like children but as friends which means she doesn't behave like a real mother; how I always feel like crying whenever I see my friends' mothers or even my cousins' mothers, and ask myself why can't she be just half as good as they are to their children; and how she's so childish, calling me names like "pig" and "fat" and "ugly", why can't she behave her age instead of like a 5-year-old. My father is the kindest, most big-hearted person I've ever seen. And he does love my mother. So he told me that he understands my comparing her with other mothers, and he knows that she is different, but that she does love us, albeit in a different way. He also said some more that I don't quite remember, although I do know that I was quite convinced by the end of it. Thinking back on it now, I just didn't want him to be upset, because I do love my father so, so very much. Then he gave me a long hug (he gives the world's best hugs) which made me sob even harder, then he held my hand and we walked around more until I'd calmed down enough to return to the room. That was about a few months ago. And it still didn't change my opinion of her. I do want to change that, I really do! So I felt, instead of arguing with her to try and change her, I thought I should start on my own part to be more friendly, since I read on a psychology website that people usually respond with the same mood they are spoken to with. I have tried, I really have. I started telling her about school miscellaneous stuff (just about work and forms, not really my life) to start things off slowly. But all she'll reply is how I have to work super hard to get what I want in life (which is what she wants, and that's for me to make a lot of money so that I can buy her a house and a car to repay for all she's done), and that she'll pay for any assessment and revision books I want, but she'll only spend money on what I absolutely need, which in her mind purely consists of WORK BOOKS. I know that because she refused to buy me stationery once. And I definitely need that more. As you may now be able to tell, I think she is self-centred, selfish, and absolutely rubbish at caring. I won't even start on my comparisons on other parents. Actually I will say this: once when I asked her to pick me up instead to taking the bus back, because it was late at night and I'd had an exhausting day, the first thing she said when I got into the car was "look at those girls taking the bus home, why couldn't you have done that? Don't treat your parents like your chauffeurs okay." Most of the time I don't even realise how ridiculous it sounds because I'm quite submissive and gullible, and I'll believe anything someone says, until I go back and really think about it. Then I get angry, but by then it's too late to do anything about it. So it snowballs. And this has affected my social life, as well, which is the biggest thing. I don't dare to talk to new people and sometimes don't say anything even to my friends, or I'll think about what I've said and regret it. Because I realise that since I've spent my life with her, some of her personality may have rubbed off on me. And I really don't want other people experiencing what I have to experience, or for them to dislike me because I'm such a horrible person, so I end up not saying anything at all, which makes me kind of a loner at school. Which I absolutely hate. I really want to solve this, but now, I'm just here writing this out and sobbing, not knowing what to do. FUCK THIS. I give up. I really, absolutely, GIVE flipping UP. Maybe there really is a god. When I felt like giving up, 1. I picked up my manga where I left off, and it happened to be when a friend tells the main character that there is no shame in being afraid of death, and that she fights despite knowing that. 2. When I started tearing up for fear that all my efforts will be for naught, a strong cool breeze blew at my face, and it felt like a comforting touch. 3. The song that was playing ended, and ANNIVERSARY started playing, a song that tells about making it far despite many setbacks in my way. Maybe. Comment | 0 Comment(s)

IS IT SO FUCKING HARD TO GET SOMEONE TO LISTEN TO WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY. It's not as if I live in a huge family with many children or many generations living in the same house. It's just my parents and my one brother. And my brother is at an event right now, so that just leaves me and my parents at home. CAN YOU PLEASE JUST LISTEN TO WHAT I HAVE TO SAY FOR ONCE. What is wrong with just being concerned about what your own daughter is doing, what she needs to do, and what she wants to do? I'm not asking for a new gadget, or a tough service or even help with my homework. I need to get my hair cut, my trousers mended and I want to eat lunch at a certain chicken rice stall. ALL THE OTHER WEEKS you ask for my suggestion and this week when I finally have one in advance you just forget about it, and conveniently remember it when it's too late. And no matter how many times I say it, you always end up asking me to explain. TIME AND TIME AGAIN. Is it so hard to remember what AFA is??? I've been going to it for 5 years now and every time I mention it, you always forget what it is. And every time I say something along the lines of "Remember about my appointment today", you frown as if it's not your responsibility to remember. I KNOW THAT. THAT'S WHY I'M REMINDING YOU. I remind you every single day but on the day itself you FORGET, and scold me for being last minute in telling you. WHY IS IT SO HARD TO BE HEARD in a family of FOUR people oh my god. And then when I try to speak my mind, you always FEEL THE FUCKING NEED to contradict everything I have to say. What is you problem? WHY do you have to argue with me WHY. I might as well be living as a tenant in your house, not as your daughter, with the way you don't know anything about what I'm doing or even care. You blame me for not telling you anything, hiding in my room all the time? YOU NEVER ASK ME ANYTHING ABOUT WHAT I'M DOING. NOTHING. I may be doing drugs in my room for all you know! I might be showing physical symptoms or drug abuse and you won't even notice! And you scold me for not wanting to share. Well, when I do you just interrupt me with your own thoughts, or what you want to say to someone else. And even when you 'pay attention', you NEVER REMEMBER ANYTHING I tell you. Then you always ask me to repeat myself. NO. You see, this is how delinquents are formed. They want their parents' attention. Too bad I'm too sensible and law-abiding to put myself in danger just to get attention. In fact, I just want to be loved by my parents. You said once that you loved me, but how? In mere words? With material possessions? Because you seem to care more about money than you do about me! I mean, is it too much to ask for parents to put their child before themselves. I certainly don't think so. You expect me to take care of you when you are older but LOOK AT HOW you shout at my grandmother, and not care about me! You only care about what you want, and your money. Everyone else has to get quietly follow along. The worst part is I look at every other parent and wish mine were like that. I literally wish they'd be my parents instead of the ones I do have. The worst, worst part. About the tenant thing, it's even more true because even though I don't pay rent or whatever, I pay for half my own clothes out of my pocket money, I pay for my school supplies and everything. I'm even paying for my prescription set of GLASSES for god's sake. That's how much more money means to you than I do. What are you gonna do with all that money anyway? "I'm not gonna pay for your university education. I'm gonna give it all to charity." WHAT. I'm not saying you shouldn't, but shouldn't your child come first. And it's not the 1970s ANYMORE. You can't live a happy life living as frugally as you do it's so stupid the extent to which you value money. It's not even 'frugally' anymore, since that's a good word. It's 'miserly'. Please just fucking ACKNOWLEDGE my existence once in a while. That'd be brilliant. Comment | 0 Comment(s)

I hate rejecting people but I feel like I should. I'd already clocked in nearly 24 hours of work for the design, but they still want me to make amendments! And it's not minor cosmetic changes and edits. They want me to change the actual design of the animal because of some new requirement How can they just do this after everyone has worked so hard on their designs? Don't they see the effort that we all put in? We have other commitments as well, much much more important than this. We haven't had this for over 250 years so another few years isn't gonna hurt at all. And all the credit is going to go to the initialisers and not the people who actually put the work into making it happen. Because that's how the school will react. They'll only see the PowerPoint slides as pictures and see the presenters, but they won't see the actual labourers and definitely won't see the amount of time and effort I put in (we all put in) into making this happen. I have no time to do anything else now. I guess I'm the only wimp that accepted this. Because I don't dare to say no. Okay I'm going to do some minor edits and send them the PS file because I really cannot let this continue. I need stop helping other people tie their unimportant loose ends and fix myself first. Especially my TOK and EE and other IAs that need much attention. And also my Art is really getting affected as well. I have 5 pieces done and I need 15. Therefore. Comment | 0 Comment(s)

Okay so since I last posted, quite a lot of things have happened. Mainly, I went to Taiwan for holiday (for the 3rd time), and the DOCTOR WHO CHRISTMAS SPECIAL. Okay firstly, Taiwan. I went with the entire group of all my family, including ALL of my father's siblings and their families. Making a total of 21 people. Yes I know. We went to a lot of scenic places, ate a lot of food, and did a lot of shopping! I bought a few things, not an alarming amount, but... Actually I didn't buy much. A couple pairs of shoes, a top, and that's about it. Haha. Also some gifts for a few people. Anyway, on to the most important bit: Doctor Who! Ah, The Time of the Doctor :D I think this has to be one of my favourite Matt Smith episodes~ I love last episode when they bring back old sayings and characters that only a true fan who follows the series faithfully will understand and appreciate (or if you're an avid Tumblr user) So some of the things they brought back were: Daleks (ov), Cybermen (ov), Weeping Angels (ov), Sontarans, the Silence ("Silence will fall when the question is asked!" "Doctor WHO?"), Trenzalore (where the Doctor dies), and others also but most importantly,... Amelia Pond! When young Pond started running round the TARDIS it began to break me. "You were the first. The first face this face saw." And this quote was from The Eleventh Hour, Matt Smith's first proper episode!!! (I say proper, because he appeared in the Tennant regeneration episode) I never thought that I actually like Matt Smith. I always thought he was a brilliant Doctor, and Moffat was more brilliant a writer than Davies, but Eleven never really caught on to me, because I preferred the way RTD made his characters. The method of production, maybe. But when the time came for Matt to regenerate, I began to get really sad. Especially when Amy came down the steps and said "Raggedy man. Goodnight." And smiled this really genuinely happy but sad smile, I began to tear up. I literally started whimpering when Matt took off his bowtie, and I thought that was a brilliant move by Moffat or whoever directed that, because that bowtie is Eleven's iconic piece of clothing, and it was NEVER seen being taken off, even though it was obviously replaced since it changed colours depending on whether he went to the past or future. But I ramble. So he took off his bowtie. But the final regeneration happened so quick that I had no time to think. For the rest of the episode I just stared at the screen in shock from the speed of the regeneration, and Capaldi's subsequent demented behaviour. Which was absolutely brilliant and perfectly-Doctor :p "My kidneys!! I don't like the colour!" "Of your kidneys..?" Okay I basically had the exact same expression as Clara when he finally regenerated. I didn't actually go beyond blurred vision when the actual episode was playing, but one moment made me actually shed quite a few tears. It was during the behind the scenes (maybe Confidential? I don't know), when Matt admitted that he cried during the read-through of TOTD. He was reading the last part of the script when the Doctor made his last speech before regenerating. You could hear his voice thickening, and then during one impactful line (I think it was something like "...my last breath..." or "...times will change and so must I..."... one of the iconic lines anyway), Matt choked up and couldn't speak anymore. Then Moffat went up to him and gave him a hug, after which Matt broke down and sobbed in his arms. Just thinking about it makes me tear up. And Matt even said he didn't understand why, because he usually doesn't get emotional about these sorts of things. But at that read-through, when he read his final script for the first time, he cried. And after the whole episode was done filming, Moffat gave a speech, and Matt got some sprinkle-fireworks and received his own sonic screwdriver as a gift to remember. My favourite part of the whole episode was when Amy came and said "rageddy man, goodnight", just because I love Amy to bits as a companion, and just Karen Gillan's acting in that episode in general. Like, the first time they parted, she left the Doctor due to the Weeping Angels, and that time she said "Rageddy man, goodbye." Because she was the one who left due to circumstances. But this time, it was the Doctor who had to leave due to circumstances, and the word used, "goodnight", is just perfect. To me it has a fairytale-like connotation, like when bedtime stories are read to kids to go to sleep, and it linked to the fact that the Doctor started out as a fantasy fairytale for little Amelia, and now the fairytale is ending, and so the grown-up Amy says "goodnight", like, time to go back to sleep. Also, Karen's expression at the end when she said those words... When she was lost by Weeping Angels, she was forced to leave and did not seem to accept being separated from the Doctor. However, now her face is all serene, like she has finally accepted that she will never see the Doctor in Eleven's form ever again, because he will regenerate and lose it forever. And she as accepted that her adventures of the Doctor, and the man himself, is better to be remembered as a dream and fairytale because that is basically what Doctor Who is to us normal human beings. It was the most brilliant moment. (Also because Karen Gillan/Amy Pond has to be my most favourite companion of all time, on par with Donna Noble, which is definitely saying something.) I was actually considering putting Rose as one of my favourite companions, but I attribute that to nostalgia instead of actually liking her character, because, like Ten was my first Doctor, she was my first companion. However I still like Ten the best. And Tennant. Obviously. So therefore, if you've watched TOTD, I hope you've read and understood my feelings about the episode and my opinions on certain things. However if you haven't watched it yet, and you're a Whovian (even only slightly), this is one of the best Eleven episodes and you should definitely give it a go. Although it's best if you've seen all of Eleven's episodes so you can fully appreciate every line. But it's not completely necessary to understand the story and remember the regeneration. And finally, if you don't watch Doctor Who, watch the other episode before this one, because you won't understand anything, but I promise you will love the series. As for those who don't like the time-travelling Doctor, well, I do me and you do you. Haha :p Comment | 0 Comment(s)

Yes. Sorry if you don't like quizzes, I just love them a lot. Filling things in, making lists of my favourite things; this is what I do best. And I am currently obsessed with Pokemon (again). 1. When and how did you first discover Pokemon? When a friend at tuition let me borrow her Gameboy Colour, and I played Pokemon Blue :) this was about 6 or 7 years ago 2. What was the first Pokemon you ever saw? In my life, I don't know, but in the games it was Squirtle! 3. What was your first RPG Pokemon game? BLUE! 4. What was your first non RPG Pokemon game? Ehh it must've been the TCG, because my cousins loved it and I joined them playing~ 5. What was your first starter? SQUIRTLE!! I always pick Squirtle because it's really cute, and Blastoise is so badass 6. Did you ever trade with anybody other than siblings? What Pokemon? No because when I played Blue, no one else had a GBC anymore, and after that I played on emulators so trading became impossible :'( so my Pokedex sucks, as hard as I try. 7. Did you watch the tv show? Do you still watch it? YES. Watching subbed Pokemon XY now, as soon as it comes out. I had to learn all the Japanese names because I only ever watched dubbed ones before :p 8. What was your fav character? Human and Pokémon? In the anime? Definitely Barry from Sinnoh (Twinleaf town?), and Iris' Axew because it's really cute "Xew Axew!~!!" 9. Did you collect the cards? Can you remember your first card? No I never did because I only ever played with my cousins, and they provided all the cards. 10. Did you ever get one of your Pokemon up to lv100? Uhh no >< Since I played on emulators I couldn't really battle with anyone so I never bothered. But I'm trying to now with my Black 2 team! They're around Level 82 now~ 11. Have you ever encountered Missingno? No :/ :: PRESENT :: 12.What is your fav 1-3 pokemon of each generation? Why? Generation 1: 1. Eevee, because there was only one, and I love my Jolteon 2. Blastoise, because Squirtle will always be my favourite starter, also bad-assery 3. Scyther, because it's super cool. Need I say more Generation 2: 1. Furret because looks. #nojudgement 2. Suicune because it's brilliant and beautiful 3. Mareep! It's really cute, and I loved the electric sheep idea Generation 3: 1. Banette! Its description is super creepy and awesome at the same time. Also it's pretty. 2. Blazkien!! Starter brillaince. Also it's extremely powerful and the only fire-type worth having in Gen 3 3. Gardevoir. Need I say more? Generation 4: 1. Empoleon! When I first saw it, I fell in love. Come on, a Water-Steel EMPEROR PENGUIN?! Can't handle. 2. Froslass! I just love the kimono design. Also Ice-Ghost can't be beat 3. Infernape, because it's brilliant. Sun Wu Kong ftw haha~ Also it's a cooler-looking Blaziken (I think). I never know which starter to choose for this Gen. I really love Garchomp as well but I could only choose 3... :( I guess I'd tie Garchomp with Infernape here... Generation 5: 1. CHANDELURE. It has a gothic design, is FIRE-GHOST (which is still one and only), and it's basically a sentient chandelier!! I can't really explain why I love it so much, but it's my favourite Pokemon of ALL TIME. 2. Zebstrika! I know it's weak as crud, but my favaourite wild animals are zebras, and when it came out, I nearly died. It's electric type too like WHAT. How awesome. 3. Mienshao, because it looks super super cool. Smug, with lovely colours (even the shiny version), and a super strong Fighter, but actually the awesome sleeve-arms are what sealed the deal for me. 13. What is your fav 6 Pokemon to use? I feel like doing a dream-team for all 6 generations, but it's too hard, so I'll just list 6 best ones. Note: they're not one team together (although they can be I guess), and not in any order of favourites. Dugtrio, Chandelure, Lucario, Espeon, Glaceon, Aegislash. 14. Fav Types? Why? Steel and Fairy. Because reasons. 15. Out of your siblings/friends, are you the best at Pokemon? Hahahahahahahhhaaaaa this question. I'm the only sad person that's obsessed with Pokemon. 16.How many Pokemon do you have in your pokedex currently? Which ones are you missing? Because I can't trade, my Black 2 Unovadex is forlorn. Only 167 obtained. But I'm still concentrating on the post-game, haven't begun my evolution spree yet :p 17.Have you ever competed in a Pokemon event? No, but I'd love to... 18. Do you have one of the legendary unobtainables (Mew, celebi, jirachi, deoxys)? I don't have actual consoles, so that's impossible D: 19. How many lv 100s do you have and what are they? Noooooone because I'm a n00b. 20. Who is your fav gym leader? Cheren! Definitely. 21. What is your fav region? Unova, definitely. ::YOU'RE THE TRAINER!:: 22. What is your trainer name? Mache! Because of the Fairy Gym Leader in Gen 6. Her English name is Valerie, and my real name is Valerie, so :D she's super cool as well, and Mache is her original Japanese name, so I decided to use that! 23. What is your ID number (for the game you play the most of your fav)? 62589 (Black 2) 24. Are you a trainer, breeder or other? Explain. Winner. Haha lol. I just challenge everybody, I never run away from wild battles, and I've never "blacked out/whited-out" before. Yes, err-body. Super competitive over here. 25. Would you be good or evil? Neutral. N is really cool. He's neutral, to me. 26. If evil, which team would you belong to? I'll just answer this anyway. I'd love to be a Team Flare scientist because they're awesome. And also team Plasma only if I get to be Colress~ 27. Trainer stuff. (gender, age, species, clothes, anything special) Female, that's it. Haha so boring. Ooh maybe pink hair. Yes. 28. What is your fav Pokeball? Definitely Quick Ball. Because duh. It's fast and it works. 29. Where does your trainer live? Aspertia. I'm so boring don't judge. Or maybe Sootopolis! Because it's cool and Wallace is brilliant. 30. What is the story behind your character? Same as Ash. Travelling regions to become a Pokemon Master!! (also to Catch 'em All!) 31. Does your character have a trademark or phrase? *eyebrow raise* :: POKEMON :: 32. What is your Character's main Pokemon? (like ash's Pikachu) I don't think I can say Pharaoh the Black Kyurem right? Because it's legendary? Okay I'd say my Chandelure. With no nickname because Chandelure is a frickin' cool name already. 33. What is their name, age, gender, and personality? (as in naive, hardy, etc) Chandelure, ageless (haha me.), female, mild nature. Likes to fight. 35. What is the story behind the pokemon? Trained from Litwick met at Celestial Tower. Maybe saved my life a couple times? :p 36. What level is it currently? Lv 81. I'm gonna grind it to Level 100 because I love her. 37.What makes them unique? (What do they look like, can they talk, what is it's true personality) She talks through telepathy like a legendary! Haha just making this up. And can dance. 38. How long have you had that pokemon in real life? Only about 2 months I guess. 39. What are your other Pokemon on the team what are and their names and genders? Esper the Espeon, female. Samurott, male. Pharaoh the Black Kyurem, genderless. Xew the Haxorus, male. Krokorok the Krookodile, male. (I kept calling my Krookodile Krokorok, so I just changed his nickname to that haha.) 40. What is the relationship between your team of pokemon? Esper, Chandelure and Samurott are serious, and Pharaoh, Krokorok and Xew are mischievous, so they cause lots of trouble and trip up the 3 snobs a lot AHAHHAA ::MISCELLANEOUS:: 41. What is your fav console? DS! 42. Your view on the name, Wii? So lame. 43. Are you getting Pokemon Black/White? I LOVE THIS GAME. Although version 2 is better. 44. Have you decided on the starter you'll use? Lol Oshawott ftw 45. Have you ever thought a Pokemon was 'sexy'? Lopunny! Seriously though. I don't think I'm the only one. When I first saw it I was like 'Ehh!?!!' 46. How long have you liked Pokemon? About 17 years I guess. My whole life~ 47. Do you go off your nut when someone says Pokemon and those who like it are gay? Yeah I'll go all Blaziken on them and Hi-Jump Kick their arses. 48.Do you like or hate Pikachu? It's really cute and has a nice voice. But I don't favour it or dislike it. 49. In your room, how many pokemon items do you own, and what are they? Uhm, fanart on the walls, some plushies and badges. And more fanart. THIS TOOK LONG ENOUGH! Back to playing Pokemon. Byeeee. Comment | 0 Comment(s)
